Fought off would-be rapist while nude
Dear Pastor,
I am 30 years old and I am writing this letter because I do not know how to handle this matter. I have a 30-year-old boyfriend. I am just a little older by a few months. We have been intimate for about a year. I was once married, but the marriage did not last. I then met this wonderful man and the relationship can't be better.
His brother invited us to his house. He was not supposed to be there for that weekend, so we agreed to go. He has a very lovely home and a nice pool on the premises. The pool is fenced, so that no one passing on the street can see who is in the pool.
My boyfriend had to go out to do some business, so I was there alone. Suddenly his brother showed up. I was totally in my nude; having a skinny dip. It is something I do with my boyfriend when it is convenient. His brother came around to the pool and saw me and he stood there staring at me. I asked him to turn away so I could get out the pool, but he said I didn't have to hide from him, and his brother would not know that he caught me in the nude. I appealed to him over and over, but he would not go away.
He suggested that since we were alone and his brother wasn't there, he could get into the pool with me. I told him he had to be crazy. This man had the courage to tell me that we could have a little time during skinny dipping and his brother would not know anything about it.
I told him that if he tried to rape me, I would scream and then I would report him to the police.
However, he started to strip. He took off every piece of his clothes except his underpants. I decided to get out of the pool, but then I started to think that it would be safer outside in the pool instead of rushing in the house. He said his brother would never believe that he raped me. He finally took off his underpants and got into the pool. I told him his brother will appear any time. He tried to hold me and to fondle my breast, but I fought back. I did not try to cover my private area any more. When he saw that I was not yielding to him, he stopped. I decided to get out of the pool, I didn't care if he saw my private parts in full view. I was angry.
I went into the house and called my boyfriend and told him that he should come and get me out of his brother's house. It took my boyfriend about 30 minutes to get to back. I told him exactly what happened, but his brother denied everything.
He told my boyfriend that he came home and saw another guy in the pool with me.
We packed up and left the same day. I told my boyfriend that I should have filed charges of attempted rape against his brother, but he insisted that nothing happened, so we should leave it alone.
I complained to his girlfriend, but she said she does not believe what I was saying. My boyfriend had a good relationship with his brother, but now they don't talk to each other.

Dear M.B.,
Your boyfriend's brother doesn't have good morals. He should have been able to see you in the pool and not want to have sex with you. He is a dirty fellow. When he saw you, he should have turned his back and allowed you to put on a robe, or to find somewhere to cover up. He did not have to stand there staring at you, and he should not have suggested that both of you should have sex in the pool.
You tried to fight him off, and that was the correct thing to do. He has his woman. If he enjoys skinny dipping, it should be with her and not with you, his brother's woman. It would be a great embarrassment for your boyfriend to put him before the court for attempted rape. Time will catch up on him. He is not a good brother-in-law.
Pastor
