Man chopped five times
A St Andrew man has been charged with unlawful wounding after he reportedly chopped a member of his Westphalia community five times.
The man, Ernest Anderson, 33, appeared before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court last Friday when the case against him was mentioned. He is scheduled to return on February 24.
Allegations are that on October 14, 2020, about 7 a.m., the 26-year-old complainant was at his shop in the community when Anderson pounced upon him and chopped him five times. Moulton received injuries to both of his arms and fingers.
A report was made to the Mavis Bank police on October 17, and the accused arrested and charged on November 30.
