108 new COVID cases, one more death

A 43-year-old female from Westmoreland is the latest Jamaican to die as a result of COVID-19, increasing the island's COVID death tally to 332. 

Meanwhile, of  the 935 samples tested in Jamaica in the last 24 hours, 108 have tested positive for COVID-19, pushing total confirmed cases to 14,658 with 2,319 being active.

Of the new cases, 38 are males and 70 are females, with ages ranging from 1 week to 90 years.

In the meantime, there were 24 more recoveries, increasing the total to 11,833.

Some 111 persons are in hospital with 17 being moderately and 12 critically ill.

According to the Ministry of Health, 15 persons are in government quarantine, while 21,160 are quarantined at home.
