A number of dancers, recording artistes and music industry players were among those who turned out for the first post-lockdown edition of Weddy Weddy Wednesdays.

Held at Stone Love headquarters on Burlington Ave in St Andrew, the event did not attract the usual throng of patrons, jostling for space inside the venue. But, in a pandemic era, and with a permit that allows for maximum 100 persons at the event, the promoter Winston 'Wee Pow' Powell was certainly not complaining.

"We had less than 100 people, but this is the best we have had it since the pandemic and the COVID-19 lockdown of the entertainment sector by the Government nearly one year ago. I am very grateful for the support. Tonight, they gather 'round me, all the Weddy Weddy regulars are here and they give me a strength and I appreciate it. Next week we will be doing it again and the other week after that and after that. We have to make this experiment as they call it work and it is up to all of us, the promoters and the patrons, to work with the programme. We cannot afford another lockdown," Powell told THE WEEKEND STAR.
