Wormbass releases inspirational track
Reggae artiste Wormbass sends his praises to the Most High in his new single, Follow You.
"This track was inspired by the relationship I felt to this traditional art form. Reflecting on this connection reminded me of my dearest relationship of all, the one I have with the Almighty. The song is really about connecting to your spirituality and learning to put all your trust in the Almighty. Follow Him and He will direct your path always," the artiste explained.
The track is the second single off of his upcoming album.
"The inspiration for Follow You came the moment I heard the beat. The genre being Afrobeat reminded me of the music of my ancestors, from the memories I hold of Kumina music being played during my youthful days growing up in St Thomas, Jamaica, to my African roots," he elaborated.
The accompanying music video was directed and shot by Premiere King from Brazil and featured stunning visuals of locations in St Thomas, as well as St Catherine.
"I am grateful for the global feedback I have been receiving. It has all been overwhelmingly positive. I have had other artistes such as dancers who have reached out to me and have developed their own expressions to this song. I find that the song has been getting a lot of support here in Jamaica, well as in the US, Europe and Africa. My fans have really been connecting with the movement," he said.
With his most recent album being Reggaeman in 2016, Wormbass is ready to give his fans fresh music with fresh sounds.
"As always, more music is on the way, from the Almighty's inspiration to the recording booth to a speaker near you," he said.
